Well, work has continued at our new house. After my last post, I was afraid the work was really going to go on forever. Thankfully, we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel...although Brendan says it is a really long tunnel. Ha! I think that was Friday that he said that, but right now we are actually finishing up painting 2 of the ceilings that Brendan did popcorn demolition on. So, that really puts us back to square one after 3 weeks of work, except now we have unbelievably flat ceilings. (will post pics whenever we have good enough lighting to take pics worthy of how awesome the ceiling looks)Another bit of work that has started that I am really excited about is the blue color we are painting in our living room. I have been back and forth about what the right blue is and if the one we chose will look good...so, today I got to start painting a small area in "Newport Blue". There are few areas in this room that I can paint anyways because the room is open to the 2nd
story so the walls are extremely high...I am not about to get up on a crazy tall ladder! So, the area I painted was the 2nd floor landing (at the top of the stairs)...and I know the picture really doesn't do justice to the blue, but I absolutely love it. I can't wait for it to be up in the rest of the room, although it's yet to be seen if that will happen before we move in this weekend. So, yes, we are moving in this weekend. We are excited that, as far as we can see, this will be our last move for quite some time. We also can't wait to share this house with others...so come visit us, our doors are always open (except when we're gone and they are closed)!
