Back to the good ol' US of A

Tomorrow, we're flying to Raleigh for a week and a half in the States. Vacation already? Hardly! While Brendan already has his work visa to reside and work in Spain, Charlotte and I are still here as "tourists". So we must go back to DC to get a little visa stamped on our passports so that we are also Spanish residents.

While I'm not exactly looking forward to 2 trans-atlantic flights within 2 weeks with a 5 month old, I kinda feel like we know what we're doing now. We're cutting out the stroller...we'll see how that goes...and we're not worrying so much about scheduling because it really all goes out the window when you have to change that many time zones!

I am looking forward to spending time with friends and family during our trip. Can't wait for you all to see how Charlotte has grown! And I'm also super excited to get some American food...and I don't necessarily mean burgers and fries (although that's on the list)...I mean food you can only find in America.

Here's my list (these will probably also show up in future gratitude posts :)):
  • 5 Guys Burgers - yummm, cajun fries!
  • Chick-fil-A - can't believe I've gone so long without it!
  • Pei Wei - crab wontons, haven't found anything comparable here
  • El Rodeo Grill - ok, so if I was going to Texas this would definitely be Abuelo's, but this is my NC Mexican food alternative
So which one would you choose to eat at first?

  1. Clearly I'm too late to vote, but I would eat Mexican for lunch and burgers for dinner, followed by a midnight snack of Chick-Fil-A! :)
